Insurance In Indonesia
Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (company) PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia or abbreviated Jasindo Insurance is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) that engages in insurance.
History
Beginning in the period of transition of sovereignty from the Dutch colonial government to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, nationalization of a number of insurance companies owned by the Dutch colonial including NV Assurantie Maatshappij De Nederlandern and Bloom Vander EE in 1845 resided in Jakarta. Initially, the insurance had carried out its business to provide risk protection for plantation companies and so on.
After Indonesia became fully independent, the former Dutch and British loss insurance companies were nationalized to become PT Asuransi Bendasraya. As the pace of national development requires broader loss insurance protection services for each development process, the government adopted a policy of business integration.
Through Minister of Finance Decree No. 764 / MK / IV / 12/1972, on June 2, 1834, PT Asuransi Bendasraya engaged in rupiah insurance and PT General International Underwriters (PT UIU) engaged in foreign exchange insurance merged into PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia, which is now better known as Jasindo Insurance.

Jasindo Insurance currently has a service network consisting of 74 Branch Offices located throughout Indonesia and 1 branch office abroad and headquartered on Jl. Let Jend. MT Haryono kav. 61 Jakarta.
